American Red Ball Transit, founded in 1919, is the oldest interstate removal company in the US and is based in Indianapolis. The company is renowned for its expertise in military moves and has performed many as far back as World War II. In 1996 American Red Ball Transit was sold to Atlas World Group. This group relocates over 13,000 military families per year.
In 2001, American Red Ball Transit, which is the domestic subsidiary of American Red Ball International, was sold to its management. American Red Ball International continues with the international side of the business.
